As Workshop/APD’s Office Manager, Mary-Brett blends structure and spontaneity to keep the firm’s operations running smoothly. Originally from a small town outside Orlando, she moved to New York at 18 to attend NYU, earning a BA in Art History, German, and Comparative Literature, and an MA in Museum Studies. Previous roles span galleries, museums, and design firms, including five years at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, where she rose from Executive Assistant to Director of People Operations. Mary-Brett joined Workshop/APD in 2023 and quickly found her stride in studio operations, vendor management, and cultural programming. She’s passionate about creating environments that support creativity and connection, whether refining internal processes, coordinating logistics, or greeting clients with warmth and ease. A lifelong collector, she lives in an eclectic, maximalist home filled with warm tones and meaningful objects, treating her space as a personal museum of memory and design.
