As an architectural visualization specialist at Workshop/APD, Ays Albustanli partners with the firm’s architects and designers to translate concepts into ultra-realistic visuals that helps teams—and clients — understand a project’s intent before it’s built. After earning a degree in architecture from Eskisehir Osmangazi University in her native Turkey, she tackled architecture and visualization roles in London and Dubai before settling in New York, where she draws inspiration from the city’s energy and architecture. Ays brings a designer’s understanding of massing, light, and materiality to each scene, collaborating closely across disciplines and sharing new workflows with her studio and the larger team as technology evolves. Today, she renders Workshop/APD projects using a wide range of tools, also incorporating emerging AI technology to streamline complex modeling and detailing. In her free time, Ays enjoys long city walks, exploring new neighborhoods, visiting museums and exhibitions, and seeing live music.
