Adam Hunt

Designer
ARH

As a Designer in Workshop/APD’s Minneapolis office, Adam Hunt pairs a technology-driven approach to design with a strong visual sensibility. With a background that blends computational thinking and hands-on making, he is particularly interested in how emerging tools – from advanced rendering techniques to AI – can inform the design process and expand what is possible in the built environment.

Adam began his career working in a model shop, where he developed a deep understanding of materiality and construction through physical fabrication, bridging digital workflows with real-world building techniques. He also worked extensively on adaptive reuse and multifamily developments in Philadelphia, including the transformation of historic industrial buildings into mixed-use residential communities. His experience also includes ground-up residential work and large-scale developments across the US, along with independent design collaborations. At Workshop/APD, he contributes to large, complex projects like the University of Health and Performance, bringing a thoughtful, systems-oriented mindset and a passion for clear visual storytelling.

Adam’s design perspective is informed by an interest in biophilic principles and the creation of distinctive, memorable environments. He is drawn to work that explores how technology and craft can come together to create environments that feel both innovative and deeply human. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota, and enjoys photography, woodworking, and spending time outdoors – activities that continue to shape his appreciation for natural systems and material expression.
