Designer Allie McBrearty’s professional experience spans complex retail, hospitality, and residential projects as well as historical preservation. The daughter of an architect, Allie grew up surrounded by the profession and eventually found her way back to it, earning an undergraduate degree in psychology and art history from Lafayette College before receiving a master’s in architecture from Pratt institute. A detail-oriented problem-solver, she enjoys the intimacy and scale of residential design, and the opportunity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. She relishes the opportunity to contribute to new residential and mixed-use work across the US at Workshop/APD, diving deep into each client’s unique personality, their preferences, and the context in which their project will be built. A native of New Jersey, Allie enjoys painting, trying new cafes, restaurants, and speakeasies, and spending time with her dog, Blondie.
