Carter Swales brings a unique blend of creativity and strategy to Workshop/APD’s business development team. Originally from Evanston, Illinois, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama. In his previous role with the Hudson Advisory Team, Carter was responsible for delivering comprehensive marketing and operational support across a range of high-profile transactions, serving clients throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Hamptons.
At Workshop/APD Carter supports the client engagement team, helping with prospective clients, understand their goals, and shape a tailored vision of how the firm can bring their projects to life. He is passionate about design and architecture, with a personal love for traditionally inspired spaces that blend classic details with modern character. Outside the office, you’ll likely find him exploring new restaurants, enjoying time at the beach, or working on his own West Village apartment renovation.
