Director of Human Resources Natalia Torres brings more than a decade of experience building and optimizing HR functions at hospitality, technology, and AEC professional services firms. A native of Ecuador, Natalia earned a psychology degree at SUNY Geneseo before starting her career in HR. In her first role at Neighborhood Projects Hospitality, she established the company’s HR department and guided its expansion to six locations and more than 350 employees. Since then she has broadened her expertise at SA Hospitality Group and SOCOTEC, supporting multi-state operations, leading acquisitions integrations, and managing HR functions for more than 1,000 employees. At Workshop/APD, Natalia oversees all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, performance management, and professional development. Known for her hands-on, people-first approach, she is passionate about creating high-performing teams and cultivating an environment where employees feel empowered, supported, and engaged. She lives in Queens with her daughter and her dog. She enjoys biking, rollerblading, and exploring city parks.
