This summer, Workshop/APD welcomed a group of interns into the studio, where they contributed to active projects and joined teams across the firm. From site visits to hands-on project work, the experience offered a closer look at how ideas move from the studio into practice.
Thank you to our summer 2026 interns and hear more about what they took away from their time at Workshop/APD.

Wesleyan University | Senior
During her summer at Workshop/APD, Nessa gained a deeper understanding of how to adapt within a large architecture and design studio. Working alongside project teams gave her the opportunity to apply ideas from the classroom to real projects while learning how the design process evolves in practice.

University of Maryland | Junior
Grace spent the summer building a stronger understanding of the materials and products that shape a project. Through her work with the studio, she also began looking at design from new perspectives and seeing how individual decisions contribute to a larger idea.

Mia Reiland
Columbia University
Mia will begin her Master of Architecture at Columbia University this fall after earning her bachelor’s degree from Brown University. Building on previous experience at an architecture firm, her internship at Workshop/APD gave her the opportunity to strengthen her Revit skills and deepen her understanding of residential architecture.

Montclair State University | Junior
Working across Marketing and Business Development, Maya contributed to content creation and a range of ongoing projects throughout the summer. The experience gave her a hands-on look at how the firm communicates its work while supporting the teams and initiatives behind it.
