L’Apicio Restaurant Pinterest

Located at 13 East 1st Street in New York’s East Village and housed in a new mixed-use facility, workshop/apd was charged with creating a stylized but intimate urban interior, all while using the limits imposed by the space’s 4,400-square foot envelope. Literally a “raw space” with barren walls and ceilings, the design team worked in partnership with the client to bring innovative design, ample storage and working space, seating and waiting areas as well as warmth and character to the 180-seat restaurant. The result is an attractive modernist environs that uses traditional warm materials such as wood, glass and brick in inspired and innovative ways.
